There are lots of myths concerning pregnancy: from eating or sleeping to exercise or sex, even the cosmetic industry is now in the spotlight.
When your baby's developing inside you, those nine months are very important for you and your baby's health - that is why you should know everything there is to know about it.

What Cosmetics to Avoid while Pregnant
Many studies show that cosmetic products we usually use contain ingredients that are dangerous for our health.
There are many concerns about the exposure of pregnant women to chemicals, that can lead to certain birth defects.

A study demonstrated that women exposed to high quantities of hairspray during pregnancy were twice as likely to have babies born with hypospadias (the birth defect of the urethra in the male that involves an abnormally placed urinary opening).

Parabens are also suspicious - usually used in cosmetics as a preservative, along with phthalates, used in hairsprays, perfumes and deodorants.

The whole range of effects it is still unknown, but the common belief is that in a vulnerable period of pregnancy, the best thing to do is reducing the exposure to harmful chemicals.
Even if this is not a reason to panic, experts suggest that women who are planning to conceive or who are in the first three months of pregnancy should think about what products they are using.

Bottom line: a pregnant woman is beautiful inside and out.
Her natural glow during pregnancy overcomes the effect of makeup, hairspray, or any other cosmetics.
Cutting off some cosmetic products while pregnant is crucial to prevent any complication during pregnancy and taking care of the most beautiful thing you can experience: giving birth to a healthy, happy baby.
